The Details Tab comprises 4 main panels, containing:
- Criticality and Display in main view for the first one;
- Title and Summary for the second one;
- Description and Image for the third one;
- Content link for the fourth and last one.
First Panel

Criticality
This drop-down list allows to choose one of the following:
- NORMAL: means 'no severity'. The associated colour is defined in WIND.
INFO is the lowest severity level. The news is inserted with no emphasis. The associated colour is defined in WIND.
WARNING is the medium severity level. The news is not very critical but is displayed with “some” emphasis. The associated colour is defined in WIND.
FATAL is the highest severity level. The news is critical and shall be displayed with high emphasis. The associated colour is defined in WIND. - Info
- Warning
- Fatal
The proposed scaled is quite obvious. Note that is will determine the colors of the title when seen from the NOP (Normal=black, Info=green, Warning=orange, Fatal=red).
Display in main view
Check this on to show the News in the Main view (in the Portlet).
If you leave this field unchecked, the News will only be visible in the lists obtained with the More button located at the bottom right of the Portlet:
Note: Headline news will be considered as 'archived' - and therfore no longer visible in the Main View - as soon as they reach the End date set in the Display Period, regardless of the status of the Display in Main View check box.
Second Panel
Title
This is where you enter the title of the news.
Summary
This is where you enter the full text for the news.
The Summary field allows tagged text.
Third Panel
Description
Text placed in there will show in a detached view when one clicks on the title/banner from the Portal Portlet. It seems that most users will solely use the expand arrow to reveal the Summary. This field is therefore little used for now.
Image
This field is used to link to the thumbnail image displayed next to the News title. See the File Resources section to learn more on managing images.
Fourth Panel
Content link
This is where you enter to which file or URL the event would provide a link. See the Content Link section for more information on how to use this feature.
